No matter the effort that Bromise Balducci put forth early on to undermine his passion to kill, he'd fall weak to the seducer of power over again. Initially, it was only his mentor and grandpa, Brisco, that basked in the joy of Bromises frequent killing sprees. Then something changed. He began to feel the urge to kill . . . to feel his adrenaline rush through his bloodstream as his pulse beat in sync with the rapid blasts of his banger. With each job, he became more addicted to the power of controlling life or death. His signature style trigger-finger placed him in a class of his own. He chased the rush like a clucker chased a fix with only one objective in mind . . . to take back the crown that was wrongfully stripped from Brisco . . . The King of Chiraq! And nothing or no one will stop him.

Venom in My Veinz Rumont Tekay Books Reviews
- ***** I had to give this an additional five star's. This is one of the best stories I have read so far this year.Once I started reading. I could not put it down. It was impossible too. Bromise grandfather Brisco taught him to think, plot, and plan.Bromise was very strategic in executing his plan. But as we all know some of the best plans can have flaws. Chasidy is a loyal woman without question and had no qualms about having Bromise back and she was also his voice of reason.Chasidy was just as treacherous as her man Bromise but she also had a heart. I got a little emotional when Chasidy and Brooke (her mother) had a heart to heart talk. Future was manipulative, callous, conniving, and scandalous. It didn't matter who you were. If he can get over on you. He did. The only person he is out for is his self. This is a awesome book that I hated to see end. I hope like hell that there will be a second part because the way it end left me in a state of shock.
- This book engulfs the realities of life. Half way thru the book, I realized how life-like the characters where! The characters descriptions echoed people that I'm in contact with....without the murderous qualities. I found myself identifying with Chasidy. The way that I, and many women I know, use our bodies to get what we want. How we stand by our men and even find ourselves willing to do anything for him. The way men like Bromise do whatever he needs to get ahead in this world and wants his woman to support him, believe in him, and make love to him at anytime and anywhere. The sex scenes were so enticing!! This is what every man wants from his woman. Their relationship was very normal to me..considering they were killers! I say this because every person wants that mate who you never have to worry about betraying you. The fact that the story mimics the authors life is astonishing and mesmerizing to me! As I read the last chapter, I found myself so overwhelmed with everything that had happen and what was to happen next! I screamed at the last page! No book has kept my attention like this since reading E. Lynn Harris's colorful tales!! I don't read urban literature because the stories are predictable to me; but Venom In My Veins keeps you on the edge of your seat from start to finish! I'm actually going to read it again to see if I missed anything!!! It's that good!!! Thank you Mr. TeKay for sharing your private thoughts!
- So, first off, I must say, congratulations!! I put this book off and bypassed it in my library for a few weeks! How silly of me!! The writing of this book was exceptional! Punctuation, indentation, spelling, grammar, all on point! I absolutely hate, misspelled words and bad grammar!!!
On to the story!! What a great read!! I'm from Chicago and I was captivated, I felt like I was a part of the story, like the characters were people I knew personally! Not only were you able to grab my attention, but I was intranced with the people! Hoping for the rise of some and the demise of others!! Cudos to you!!
Thanks for writing a book that wasn't a short story!! - This book here is very well thought out and the storyline flows. The characters are believable and never too over the top. He does a great job in bringing a visual of a young boy becoming a man by all means neccesary. In living color, there must have been a male figure in the author's life that guided him and was a solid mentor becaused he nailed the relationship between a grandfather and grandson to a tee. I won't give out any details of the book hoping other readers will go in blindly as I did and come out seeing the light.
- This book was amazing from start to finish. So much so that you will go back to the beginning after you reach the end. Characters are well developed and multi-dimensional. You feel for them and you feel like you know them. This is NOT your typical urban novel. A variety of topics are dealt with - love, trust, loyalty, birth, death, betrayal - all without being overwhelming or scattered. Once you think you know where the story is going..BAM; a twist! I didn't want to put the book down but also never wanted it to end. The writing and is smart and the ending was exceptionally clever. I can't wait for the next book. This is definitely an author on the rise and one for you to keep an eye on. I purchased the kindle version but will be adding the physical copy to by book collection. Highly recommended!

- I was hoping this was a stand alone hate waiting for installments.but other than that I LOVED THIS BOOK.Its very intriguing.the characters developments are one point, the plot most of all the story itself.cant wait for the next..I'm rooting for Bromise Squad..I hate future his whole shysty team..Jamaican bill and cigar can't wait to see them get it..I know they had something to do with Brisco...patiently waiting!
- I just finished this book and mannnnnnnn......that cliffhanger!!!!! It took me about the first chapter to really get into it but once I did, I WAS HOOKED!!!! Man, some of the stuff that went down, I never saw coming and I was shocked to say the least. People are really so cruel and heartless!! This is a definite page turner and an excellent read. I'm gonna need the follow up ASAP, I need closure )
